Travis Scott made a triumphant return to the Saturday Night Live stage after almost six years. The 32-year-old rapper appeared as the musical guest on the March 30 episode, which was hosted by Ramy Youssef, 33.
During the show, Scott performed two songs from his 2023 album UTOPIA. The first track, "My Eyes," showcased his unique style, with Scott starting the song lying on his back inside a small black structure on the stage. As the song progressed, he rose to his feet, and the stage transformed with flashing lights and a video of his performance playing on the wall behind him.
For his second performance, Scott was joined by Playboi Carti (Jordan Terrell Carter) for "FE!N." Sporting a black leather jacket and pants with a white T-shirt underneath, Scott delivered a captivating performance. The track started with Scott solo on stage, surrounded by visuals of lights and flames. Carti then joined him, and the duo continued to electrify the stage together.
Scott's appearance on SNL was announced during the March 9 episode, hosted by Josh Brolin, with Ariana Grande as the musical guest. Scott's highly anticipated studio album UTOPIA, released on July 28, 2023, features collaborations with artists such as Carti, Drake, Beyoncé, The Weeknd, and more.
UTOPIA debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, with all 19 songs from the album debuting on the Billboard Hot 100. Scott's performance at the Grammys on Feb. 4 featured a medley of "My Eyes," "I Know?" and "FE!N."
This marks Scott's first appearance on SNL since Oct. 6, 2018, when he performed tracks from his critically acclaimed album ASTROWORLD. During that performance, he delivered a medley of "SKELETONS" with John Mayer joining him onstage, and "ASTROTHUNDER" with Kevin Parker of Tame Impala.
