Morgan Wallen wasn’t having any of the fans booing Taylor Swift after he joked about her record-breaking tour during a concert in Indianapolis. The country star, who performed at Lucas Oil Stadium for two nights straight, proudly announced that his show had the highest attendance ever at the venue. "We’re the first people to do it two nights in a row so thank you for making it possible for me to say that,” Wallen said in a clip shared on TikTok.
But Wallen's excitement was met with some boos when he mentioned Taylor Swift, who is scheduled to perform at the stadium in November. "Imma say that ’til Taylor Swift comes to town in the fall,” he added. In response to the boos, Wallen said, “We ain’t gotta boo, We ain’t gotta boo. I appreciate that. I know you all got my back though.”
Swift, known for her record-breaking Eras Tour, has set numerous venue records across the country. Last year, she made history by breaking single-day attendance records at stadiums in Nashville and Pittsburgh. She has also set three-day attendance records at venues in Arlington, East Rutherford, São Paulo, and Melbourne during her tour.
Currently, Swift is taking a break from her tour to focus on her upcoming album “The Tortured Poets Department,” which is set to be released on April 19.
