The New York Giants won't be starting the 2024 regular season against the Dallas Cowboys. Instead, the Cowboys will kick off Week 1 with a game against the Cleveland Browns, marking Tom Brady's highly anticipated broadcasting debut on FOX.
Reflecting on last season, the Giants suffered a humiliating loss to the Cowboys in their opener at MetLife Stadium, with a score of 40-0. The pain didn't stop there; they faced another tough defeat in Arlington in November, losing 49-17.
For fans of tradition, it's worth noting that from 2012 through 2019, the Giants and Cowboys opened the season against each other eight times. After a brief break from this routine between 2020 and 2022, they were back at it last season. However, this year brings a fresh matchup to start the season.
Dallas has had a dominant run against the Giants, winning 13 of their last 14 encounters. This adds an extra layer of excitement to see how both teams will fare with different Week 1 opponents.
