The violation stems from the 76ers' failure to accurately report Embiid's game availability status before their matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder on April 2. Initially, Embiid was listed as "Out" in the injury report and missed the shootaround that morning. Yet, just hours before the game, the big man was suddenly deemed fit to play, catching many by surprise.
