$1 Million-a-Year-for-Life Winning Scratch-Off Ticket Sold at Pennsylvania Grocery Store

Someone who bought a scratch-off ticket at Martin's grocery store on North Antrim Way in Greencastle, Franklin County, could be holding a life-changing prize.

Pennsylvania Lottery officials announced that a top-winning ticket in the $1,000,000 a Year for Life scratch-off game was sold at the store. So far, the lucky winner has not come forward to claim the prize.

Winner Has Two Big Options

The ticket holder can choose between:

  • $1 million every year for life, or
  • A one-time lump-sum cash payment of $14.5 million.

The scratch-off ticket costs $50, and Martin's will receive a $100,000 retailer bonus for selling the winning ticket.

This is already the second top-prize winning ticket announced in a little over a week. Earlier, another winning ticket was sold at a Walmart store in Elk County, making it an exciting stretch for Pennsylvania Lottery players.

Lottery officials also reminded players that winning Scratch-Off tickets are placed completely at random. Neither the Pennsylvania Lottery nor its retail partners know where top-prize tickets are located before they are sold. The Lottery only learns the location of a winning ticket after the prize has been claimed.

If you recently purchased a ticket from Martin's in Greencastle, now might be the perfect time to double-check your scratch-off—you could be holding a multimillion-dollar winner.
