Six lucky Colorado Lottery players are getting ready for a wild 90-second shopping sprint, with two winners from Southern Colorado among the group.
The six winners were selected through the Colorado Lottery’s second-chance drawing for the ULTIMATE DASH® Shopping Spree. Their big event is set for Saturday, October 24, at a transformed Wings Over the Rockies museum in Denver.
The winners and their guests will enjoy a full weekend experience that includes:
- Hotel accommodations
- Transportation
- $1,000 in spending money
- A 90-second shopping dash
- A bonus chance to win $1,000 to $10,000 in cash
During the main event, each winner and their guest will race through warehouse-style aisles, grabbing as many high-value items as possible before the clock hits zero.
Meet the Six Lucky Winners
Christine S. of Pueblo was stunned when she first heard the news. Her immediate reaction was, “Oh my God, really?” She wasn't sure the call was legitimate at first, but changed her mind after realizing it came from the government. As for her strategy, Christine says she's ready to grab as much as she can.
Kevin M. of Colorado Springs was so surprised that he and his wife drove to Pueblo to make sure the win was real. They've watched videos of other shopping dashes to prepare, but Kevin says they'll probably rely on whatever catches their attention when the clock starts.
Kenneth M. of Golden is “tickled pink” about the opportunity. He recently started entering second-chance drawings about six months ago and now calls the experience “Christmas in October.” His strategy is straightforward: 90 seconds should be plenty of time to grab some great stuff.
Mary S. of Denver, known as “Mama Mary,” is a frequent participant in second-chance drawings. She compares the upcoming event to an old-school 1980s game show. Her approach will focus on preparation, training and teamwork.

The ULTIMATE DASH® scratch tickets cost $10 and offer an instant top prize of $250,000. Players with non-winning tickets can also enter them into second-chance drawings for opportunities like the shopping spree and Bonus Draw.
