Canadian lottery players were chasing an $80 million Lotto Max jackpot on Tuesday, October 6, but no ticket matched all the winning numbers.
The winning combination was 11, 12, 22, 31, 32, 46, and 50, with 07 as the bonus number.
While the top prize went unclaimed, plenty of players still scored major payouts.
Big Winners From the Draw
- One Ontario ticket matched six numbers plus the bonus number to claim the $305,126.30 second prize.
- Another 67 players matched six of the seven numbers, splitting the third prize and taking home $4,640.30 each.
- Three players hit Maxmillions prizes worth $1 million each. Two winning tickets were sold in Ontario, while the third came from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
- Two players, one from Ontario and one from Quebec, also split a $1 million prize.
There were also 75 MaxPlus prizes worth $100,000 each available in the draw. Winning tickets were sold across several regions, including Ontario, British Columbia, Western Canada, and Nova Scotia. Some of those prizes will be shared by multiple winners.
Meanwhile, no one in British Columbia claimed the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra Prize. However, an Ontario player had plenty to celebrate after winning the $1 million Encore top prize.
The next Lotto Max drawing is scheduled for Friday, October 9, with another $80 million jackpot up for grabs. Players will also have a shot at 14 Maxmillions prizes and 80 MaxPlus prizes.
The most recent Lotto Max jackpot winner came on August 25, when a player from St. Catharines, Ontario, won $10 million. Adding even more excitement, an unclaimed $40 million Lotto Max prize is approaching its expiration date later this month.
