Retired Teacher Celebrates Third Lottery Win in 12 Years
Winning a big lottery prize once is something most people only dream about. For one lucky Ontario resident, however, lightning has struck three times.
Nigel A., a retired school teacher from Dunchurch, has officially become a three-time lottery winner after claiming another impressive prize. His latest win came after purchasing a $50 Instant Cash In Multi-Win ticket at his favorite local store.
When Nigel checked the ticket, he was stunned to discover he had landed the game's top prize of $50,000.
A Remarkable Winning Streak
- First lottery win: 2014
- Second win: 2019, worth $250,000
- Third win: 2026, worth $50,000
Nigel's second major win came in 2019 when he bought a $10 Instant ticket at Canadian Tire and walked away with a quarter-million-dollar prize. Many would have stopped there, but he decided to keep testing his luck—and it paid off once again.
Recalling the moment he realized he had won for the third time, Nigel said he immediately had the ticket validated and celebrated by pumping his fist in the air.
While claiming his prize at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, Nigel described the experience as almost unbelievable.
"It feels surreal. I'm living my dream," he said.
The 63-year-old already knows how he plans to enjoy his latest windfall. He hopes to purchase an ATV and take a vacation to Honduras.
Nigel's winning ticket was purchased at McKellar General Store on Centre Road in McKellar, proving that sometimes luck really does keep coming back.
