A Springfield convenience store is celebrating another big lottery win just days after a nearby Hy-Vee sold a $1 billion Powerball jackpot ticket.
A Lucky Day Lotto player hit all five numbers in the Monday, August 17, midday drawing, winning more than $500,000, according to the Illinois Lottery.
Winning Ticket Sold in Springfield
The lucky ticket was purchased at Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh, 1025 Outer Park Drive in Springfield.
This marks the second major lottery prize sold by the retail chain in just one week. A Hy-Vee location in Quincy previously sold the ticket that won the massive Powerball jackpot.
The Springfield store will also get a $5,500 bonus, equal to 1% of the winning prize, for selling the ticket.

Lucky Day Lotto offers two drawings every day at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m. CT, with jackpots starting at $100,000. Players can buy tickets at retailers, online or through the Illinois Lottery app.
Powerball Winner Still Hasn't Claimed $1 Billion
Meanwhile, the Illinois Lottery says the person who won the $1 billion Powerball jackpot has not yet come forward.
The winner has one year from the drawing date to claim the enormous prize.
